PM Modi To Inaugurate Projects Worth Rs 3,050 Crore In Gujarat Today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will on Friday visit Gujarat and lay the foundation stone for multiple development initiatives worth approximately Rs 3,050 crore during the 'Gujarat Gaurav Abhiyan' in Navsari.

At Khudvel village in the Navsari district, the PM will also address a gathering of tribals. According to the local administration, nearly three lakh tribals from Gujarat's south, including the districts of Navsari, Tapi, Dang and Valsad, are expected to attend the event in Khudvel.

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will also attend the programme. The PM will inaugurate AM Naik Healthcare Complex and Nirali Multi Speciality Hospital in Navsari, then the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre (IN-SPACe) headquarters at Bopal in Ahmedabad, according to the Prime Minister's Office (PMO).

As per the PMO, seven projects will be formally inaugurated, 12 will have their foundation stones laid, and 14 will have their ground-breaking ceremonies. Projects such as these will improve water supply in the region, increase connectivity, and enhance ease of living.

A ground-breaking ceremony will be held for 13 water supply projects (totalling around Rs 961 crore) for people residing in Tapi, Navsari, and Surat.

Additionally, PM Modi will perform the ground-breaking ceremony for a medical college in Navsari district that will cost approximately Rs 542 crore. His office said it would help provide quality and affordable medical care to residents of the region.

Also on the agenda is the inauguration of the Madhuban dam-based Astol regional water supply project, constructed at the cost of around Rs 586 crore, and the PMO referred to it as a marvel of water supply engineering skills.
