Trivia
Rumored to be inspired by the life of Gujarat based gangster, Abdul Latif.
The film was originally supposed to release on Eid 2016, however, the release date was postponed to 25th January 2017.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui replaced Farhan Akthar.
Raees is a film set in Gujarat as such the actors speak some Gujarati and the costumes were all designed with Gujarati influence.
The film held speculations about being a biopic of Abdul Latif but the director revealed later that it was a completely fictional work.
