Mission Majnu is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language spy thriller film written by Parveez Shaikh, Aseem Arrora, and Sumit Batheja
Directed by Shantanu Bagchi and produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Amar Butala, and Garima Mehta under the banners of RSVP Movies and Guilty By Association Media LLP.
The film features Sidharth Malhotra and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles.
The film marks Rashmika’s Bollywood debut.
It is scheduled to be released on 10 June 2022.
Mission Majnu Release Date Is Out More Details
The official announcement of the movie was made on 23 December 2020 and the principal photography of the film began on 6 February 2021 in Lucknow.
Sidharth Malhotra will be seen playing the role of a RAW agent in this directorial debut of Shantanu Bagchi.
Sidharth Malhotra said in a statement, “Mission Majnu is a patriotic tale inspired by true events that celebrates the hard work of RAW agents who go out of their way to protect the citizens of our country.
It is a privilege to tell the story of our brave agents, and I am eager to revisit a mission that forever changed the relationship between India and Pakistan. I am looking forward to sharing this special film with everyone.”
Director Shantanu Bagchi states, “It was primarily the script of Mission Majnu that appealed immensely to me. It is a rare and fresh story set in a genre that audiences are very excited to watch.
The more I read about that era, whether it be about the ordinary citizens, the politics, or the military – the more I was drawn into this world of espionage, and this mission.
I am excited to bring this story to audiences across India and internationally.”
