J-Hope is a member of K-pop sensation BTS is now the sixth BTS member to be tested negative to COVID-19. 

The infection isn’t expected to alter the group’s travel plans.

The musician who is real name Jung Ho-seok reported a sore throat last Wednesday.

He then underwent an PCR test that revealed that he had contracted the virus according to his agency Big Hit Music, part of Hybe Entertainment, announced on its Weverse fan website. 

J-Hope has been given two doses of anti-virus shots as well as a booster shot.

“J-Hope has been treated and isolated himself at home and has no signs other than a sore throat” according to the Big Hit statement stated. 

The statement said that he would participate in the group activities planned for the next month, after having completed his home treatment.

Others BTS participants have contracted the illness. Suga was the first to be diagnosed in December. 

RM, Jin, Jimin and V were found to have contracted the virus at unknown times and were later cured. 

Jungkook has been the one BTS member to not have any positive tests at this time.

BTS was confirmed this week as the top musician in 2021 According to IFPI (International Federation of Phonographic Industries). 

The report measured “consumption of all types and across all nations, weighted by the amount of each method to consume.”

The K-pop group is scheduled to leave Korea and participate in the Grammy Awards in Las Vegas on April 3in 2022. 

They will host four concerts on the Allegiant Stadium in the city between April 8 and 16.

“J-Hope will be added to the schedule in the in the coming month, following the conclusion of his home treatment.

We will also be a faithful partner with the demands and guidelines of officials in quarantine.” in the statement of the organization stated.
