Indian Cricket Team Will Wear Saffron Jersey For Match Against England On June 30.
ICC Cricket World cup is in full swing but team India yet to start its journey in this world cup, India will take on South Africa tomorrow.
Team India will wear Saffron Jersey for two matches one is with England on June 30. This is because of ICC’s new rule, which requires all participants to keep 2 different colored jersey’s.
Officially BCCI not yet revealed the jersey.
“For televised ICC events all participating teams will be required to provide for two different coloured kits, except for the host country who has a preference in the choice of colour and may, if it chooses to do so, provide only one coloured kit to be worn in all matches throughout the event. In advance of the event the teams will be notified which coloured kit will be worn in each match,” the ICC had said in a release.
With Afghanistan also playing in blue, India will be required to play in their new jersey against their subcontinent rivals when they face each other.
The tournament has already seen the effect of both teams having a same coloured Jersey. In the opener South Africa wore their traditional green but wore yellow in their match against Bangladesh.
Apart from South Africa, Bangladesh and Afghanistan have also unveiled their away jerseys.
