Ducati Diavel 1260, Diavel 1260 S launched Today in India
The 2019 Ducati Diavel 1260 has been launched in India today. It replaces the current Ducati Diavel and gets an all-new engine with more technology. The new Testastretta DVT (Desmodromic Valve Timing) 1262 cc engine puts out 157 bhp at 9,250 rpm and 129 Nm of peak torque at 7,500 rpm. The Diavel 1260 will be available in two variants – a standard variant and the top-spec Diavel 1260 S with LED lighting, Ohlins suspension and top-spec Brembo M50 monobloc brake calipers.
Ducati Diavel 1260 comes with a fresh chassis set-up. There is a new tubular steel trellis frame with an aluminium swingarm anchored to it. The 240 mm wide rear wheel has a diameter of 17 inches. The motorcycle gets a 6-axis Bosch Inertial Measurement Unit, which instantaneously detects bike speed and acceleration.
The electronics package with the new Diavel 1260 includes Bosch Cornering ABS EVO, Ducati Traction Control EVO, Ducati Wheelie Control EVO, Ducati Power Launch EVO and cruise control. The bike can be mated with the Ducati Link app to set up the journey mode through the smartphones. The app also provides comprehensive maintenance deadline info, user manual and Ducati store locator. Also, the app lets the riders record performance and routes.
Ducati Diavel 1260 is priced at Rs 17.70 lakh (ex-showroom), Ducati Diavel 1260 S gets a price tag of Rs 19.25 (ex-showroom). Diavel bookings are open across all Ducati dealerships in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Kochi, Kolkata, Chennai and Hyderabad.
