Trivia
Amitabh Bachchan suggested that his name should be in the credits after the 3 leading ladies in order to show the importance of gender equality, which is what the movie is based on.
Taapsee Pannu suffered from a viral infection during the court scenes and wanted to dub later, however Shoojit Sircar felt that her illness would add more authenticity to the scenes. So, despite the hardships Taapsee Pannu filmed the scenes and said she had fun doing so.
